Read Matthew 3:13-17. The baptism of Jesus is rally a matter of obedience. he submitted to it not because He had to but because He was being obedient to the will of the Father. As Christian are declared children of God in the act of baptism, Jesus is declared Son of God when He was baptized. It is the focus on the Father that prepares us for the battle after baptism. This is more than water, it's a matter of wisdom. Shalom
